De Rosa is a delicate and inviting rosé from Quarna, made from Nebbiolo (80%) and Vespolina (20%) from the Val d’Enrico vineyard in Ghemme, situated at an altitude of 275 metres on clay and gravel soils. The grapes are destemmed, pressed immediately and fermented spontaneously using the traditional ‘pied de cuve’ method, without temperature control. Following spontaneous malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged in stainless steel. No added sulphites, unfiltered.
In the glass, the Rosa displays a lovely cherry-pink colour. The nose is elegant and fruity, with notes of lychee, pomegranate and pink grapefruit. On the palate, the wine is soft and flavourful, with a pleasantly slightly bitter finish typical of the Nebbiolo grape.
The Rosa is a versatile wine that is perfect for any time of year. It is delicious as an aperitif on a summer terrace, but also pairs excellently with grilled vegetables, light fish dishes such as prawns or grilled sea bass, chicken and turkey, and classic Italian dishes such as vitello tonnato. Its fresh fruitiness and smooth texture make it accessible to everyone.
