Quarna is more than just a family name. It is a wine estate with a soul of its own. This small, artisanal winery is based in Ghemme, in the Alto Piemonte, a region renowned for its refined wines since Roman times. The estate is run by Mattia Quarna, who holds a degree in viticulture and oenology, whilst his father Amedeo helps out in the vineyard and cellar, his mother Serena manages the administration, and his brother Francesco and sister Maddalena handle communications and PR. As well as being a wine enthusiast, Francesco is also a DJ at Radio Deejay, one of Italy’s most popular radio stations.
