Why choose when you can have the best of both worlds? The WEIß Cuvée is not an afterthought, but a deliberate and carefully considered blend. The Riesling from the Moselle and the Pinot Blanc from Rheinhessen are co-fermented together right from the start. In this way, the creamy richness of the Pinot Blanc and the lively freshness of the Riesling blend together during fermentation, rather than being combined afterwards. The result is a wine that is greater than the sum of its parts.
Following spontaneous co-fermentation, the wine matures for twelve months on the lees in a stainless-steel tank. No oak, no external flavourings. Just the pure, unadulterated fruit and the clarity that steel imparts. Unfiltered, 100% vegan and with minimal sulphur. In the glass, the WEIß is crystal-clear and pale yellow. The aroma combines ripe pear and white peach with the cool, precise minerality so characteristic of Riesling. On the palate, it is elegant and pleasantly drinkable, with a lovely roundness but never heavy.
A wine that is just as at home with an everyday meal as it is at a beautifully laid table. It pairs excellently with oven-baked lemon chicken thighs, fresh pasta with peas and mint, or pan-fried zander with herbs. Serve at 9–11°C.
