The name speaks for itself. Taste it, and you’ll understand everything. Emozioni is one of Tenuta La Tenaglia’s finest wines, the result of a careful selection of grapes from the estate’s oldest vineyards. It is the finest expression of the Barbera grape that the estate can produce, the result of years of dedicated care in the vineyard and craftsmanship in the cellar.
Following traditional fermentation at 28°C, Emozioni matures for around a year in small 225-litre oak barrels from Tronçais and Allier, followed by at least 18 months in bottle. In the glass, it is ruby red with violet and purple hues – an impressive colour. The nose is broad and complex, with morello cherries and ripe plums. The silky body is enveloping and warm, with notes of vanilla, cocoa, pepper and other spices.
Ideal with roasted and braised meats, game and mature cheeses. A perfect wine for contemplation. Serve at 17–18°C.
