Product description
This is a wine with a story that comes straight from the heart. Sabine Ehrmann originally produced it as a limited edition to mark her father Alois’s 80th birthday. The back label reads: ‘Wine is love. I dedicate this wine to my father to celebrate his life with all the love in the world.’ The wine was so well received that the estate has continued to produce it every year. A gift too wonderful to keep just for one person.
The grapes come from a magnificent vineyard in a prime location. Ageing takes place partly in 500-litre tonneaux and partly in 225-litre barriques for 12 months, followed by at least 18 months in the bottle. In the glass, it is deep red with violet hues. The nose is broad and enveloping, with black berry fruit and spices. On the palate, it is silky, balanced and rich, with hints of vanilla.
Perfect with regional dishes featuring truffles, roasted or braised meat, and mature cheeses. Serve at 17–18°C.
