The 'Il Fondatore' Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato DOCG Riserva is a powerful red wine made from 100% Ruchè grapes and is best enjoyed with pastas, oriental dishes and grilled or braised beef.

In Castagnole Monferrato, this special red wine comes to life amid the enchanting landscapes of Piedmont. Here Montalbera nurtures Ruchè grapes with love, with low Guyot training systems and 7-8 buds on the fruiting vine, and a green harvest in the early summer months to promote quality.

With an emphasis on traditional red vinification, Montalbera nurtures each grape in the process, creating a wine that speaks of craftsmanship and dedication. After harvest, the wine matures in large barrels and French oak barrels for around 10-14 months, depending on the year. No tartaric stabilisation, because why change anything about perfection?"
