Agnelli Viassone's Langhe Arneis DOC is a fresh and expressive white wine, from a vineyard planted in 2004 by Alessia's father, near the village of Diano d'Alba. Its location on a northeastern slope and its particular subsoil of petrified sandy soil create an ideal microclimate for the production of lively and refined white wines. The harvest takes place entirely by hand, with the grapes carefully collected in perforated crates to preserve their optimal quality.
After picking, the grapes undergo criomaceration in the press, which also leaves some of the bunches intact for added complexity. This cold soaking lasts about five hours, followed by gentle pressing. Fermentation takes place for about twenty days in stainless steel vats at controlled temperature to fully preserve the fresh, fruity character of the Arneis. The wine then matures further in stainless steel for another six months, enhancing its purity and vibrancy.
With an alcohol content of 13%, this Langhe Arneis offers a pure and elegant experience that beautifully expresses the unique terroir of Diano d'Alba. A wine that combines both refinement and fresh drinkability, ideal as an aperitif or with light dishes.
