The Merlot Rosato IGT Lazio from Ômina Romana is a refined and expressive rosé that uniquely showcases the elegance of the Merlot grape. The wine comes from specially selected vineyards with sandy and loamy soils on the estate, where the grapes are harvested with extreme care in the second week of September to maintain their delicate balance between freshness and ripeness.
After gentle pressing, the wine undergoes careful fermentation and ageing in stainless steel tanks, where it is left to settle for six months. It then receives a further two months of bottle aging to allow its aromas to fully meld. In the glass, it shines in a bright, pale pink hue. The nose is seductive and elegant, with notes of pink grapefruit, exotic fruit and subtle floral nuances. On the palate, it surprises with a perfect harmony between freshness and creaminess, which makes it both lively and refined.
The Merlot Rosato IGT Lazio is an ideal wine to serve well-chilled at 10-12 °C. It makes a wonderful pairing with light starters, summer salads, seafood or fine meats, but is also a wonderfully refreshing choice on its own for hot days or elegant aperitif moments.
