The Neuweierer Mauerberg Riesling Spätlese trocken is an expressive and refined Riesling that convinces with intensity, freshness and a remarkably long finish. This wine is vinified exclusively from fully ripe, healthy grapes from the famous southern slopes of the Mauerberg, where the unique soil structure and microclimate ensure optimal ripening and aromatic concentration.
In the glass, this Riesling exudes pure elegance, with vibrant citrus aromas and ripe stone fruits that combine to form a powerful yet refined flavour profile. The wine is distinguished by a harmonious interplay of fresh acidity and a subtle residual sweetness of 7.1 g/l, resulting in a wonderfully sparkling and balanced mouthfeel. In addition, the firm acidity of 6.3 g/l gives it an invigorating, energetic structure that lingers for a long time.
This dry Spätlese is a versatile companion to culinary dishes. It pairs particularly well with luxury seafood such as lobster and scallops, but also goes well with smoked meat, pork or slightly spicy dishes. Thanks to its strength and freshness, it is also recommended for those who like characterful white wines with depth. The wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 8 to 10 °C and can easily age for 3-5 years. A classic but lively interpretation of a great Riesling.
