The Chardonnay Qualitätswein trocken from the Weinhaus am Mauerberg is a sophisticated white wine with international allure, combining charm and character in an elegant style. This Chardonnay is aged for nine months in large oak barrels, which gives it a subtle, smoky touch and a pleasant creaminess. On the nose, it reveals refined, nutty aromas that are beautifully complemented by fruity notes of juicy pear and exotic passion fruit.
On the palate, it shows itself to be rich and harmonious. Fine vanilla notes, from the wood aging, flow together with lively acidity and a gentle residual sweetness of 4.9 g/l, resulting in a wine with a full yet fresh mouthfeel. The balance between fruit, wood and elegance makes it a classic companion at the table, with a modern twist.
This Chardonnay is excellent with flavourful dishes such as grilled fish, seafood, poultry such as chicken or goose, rabbit and meat fondue. It is also an excellent choice with creamy pastas. The wine has a storage potential of 3 to 4 years and is best served at a temperature of 9 to 11 °C. A true citizen of the world with a Baden soul.
