12 and 13 December: the ONWINE Winemakers’ Festival. Winemakers from all ONWINE countries are coming to the Netherlands to let you taste their best wines.
The Bonarda dell’Oltrepò Pavese DOC “1892” is a still red wine with a bold, authentic character, made exclusively from Croatina grapes, the historic variety of the Oltrepò Pavese region. It displays a deep ruby-red color with garnet reflections, hinting at its intensity and richness.
On the nose, it reveals ripe red fruit aromas such as cherry and blackberry, intertwined with delicate spicy undertones. The palate is full-bodied, rounded, and persistent, offering excellent balance and a long, satisfying finish. A twelve-day maceration and aging in steel and cement tanks preserve the purity of the fruit while adding structure and depth.
The “1892” Bonarda dell’Oltrepò Pavese pairs beautifully with roasted meats, hearty stews, and aged cheeses. Serve slightly below room temperature to highlight its depth and elegance.
