Product description
In a narrow side valley of the Saar, exposed to a cool and windy climate, lies the Ockfener Bockstein. This delayed ripening is not a drawback but a blessing: the grapes slowly develop a full bouquet whilst retaining their lively, robust structure. The result is a Kabinett with a floral, slightly spicy character that unmistakably evokes the Bockstein. No wonder it was crowned the Vinum Riesling Champion 2026.
The floral and slightly spicy character harmonises effortlessly with the Riesling’s fruit, whilst the robust acidity of 8.7 g/l ensures a vibrant structure. In the glass, it is pale yellow and clear. The nose is pleasantly fresh and floral, with fruity depth and a subtle spiciness. On the palate, it is juicy and lively, with a balance that showcases Kabinett at its best.
Perfect with light starters, fish or simply as an aperitif. Serve at 8–10°C.
