The story of Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt dates back to the 14th century, but every year there is also a very specific starting point: the Sommerpalais. This is the estate’s entry-level wine, the first to grace the table each summer and the one that has kept customers coming back for years. Year after year, the label changes – a free interpretation of the summer palace by young artists – but the wine itself remains true to its character: crisp yellow fruit, a mineral spiciness and a smooth mouthfeel that invites you to have more.

The wine ferments in stainless-steel tanks, thereby retaining all its immediate fruitiness. It is ‘Feinherb’ in style, meaning it has a gentle residual sweetness that effortlessly balances the acidity. In the glass, it is clear and pale yellow. The nose is inviting and fresh, with notes of yellow apple, herbs and a pleasant mineral touch. On the palate, it is lively and juicy, with a smooth drinkability that makes it suitable for any occasion.

A wine that pairs well with fish, pasta, asparagus or simply as a cheerful everyday wine. Serve at 8–10°C.
