In this Tasting Caseyou will find the following classic Tuscan wines:
- 2x 'Semifonte' Rosso Toscana IGT: “Semifonte” is an elegant red wine with a distinct character, coming from high altitude vineyards at 490 to 550 meters above sea level. The wine is made from 87% Merlot and 13% Alicante Bouschet, grapes grown on rich soils of sandstone, clay yeast and marl. The 20-year-old vines, with low yields per plant, produce concentrated fruit and complex aromas.
- 1x Chianti Classio DOCG Annata: The Chianti Classico DOCG Annata from Podere Ciona is an elegant and characterful wine that reflects the unique terroir of Gaiole in Chianti. This cuvée consists of 96% Sangiovese and 4% Merlot, from vines located at an altitude between 490 and 625 meters above sea level. The vineyards are planted on soils rich in sandstone, clay yeast and marl, which contributes to the wine's refined structure and aromatic complexity.
- 1x Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva 2018: The 2018 Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva from Podere Ciona is a wine of depth, elegance and distinct character. This Riserva is composed of 97% Sangiovese and 3% Merlot, from vines growing at an altitude between 490 and 580 meters, on soils composed of sandstone, clay yeast and marl. The location and composition of the soils produce wines with pronounced minerality, finesse and power.
- 1x 'Le Diacce' Rosso Toscana IGT 2017: “Le Diacce” is a powerful and refined red wine from Podere Ciona, born from the particular combination of 97% Merlot and 3% Alicante Bouschet. The grapes grow at an altitude between 490 and 550 meters above sea level on soils composed of a mix of sandstone (quartz arenite), clay yeast and marl. This rich subsoil contributes to the wine's structure and depth. The low yield per plant emphasizes quality over quantity, resulting in a concentrated and expressive wine.
- 1x 'Ciona Rosé' Toscana IGT: Ciona Rosé is an elegant and fresh rosé made from 100% Sangiovese, from vineyards located at altitudes between 535 and 625 meters in the Chianti hills. The grapes grow on a rich soil of sandstone, clay schist and marl, which contributes to the sophistication and minerality of this wine. With an average yield of just 1.3 kg per plant and a limited production of 2,000 bottles, quality is central to this small-scale project.
