The 'Ried Gradenthal' Zweigelt BIO is a characterful red wine of organic origin from the Thermenregion. The wine immediately stands out for its deep ruby red colour and an intense yet soft aroma, combining ripe fruit notes and a subtle spiciness. Made from 90% Zweigelt and 10% Cabernet Merlot, from old vines between 30 and 39 years old, this cuvée offers a beautifully thought-out balance between power and refinement.
After a careful manual harvest, the wine undergoes a 24-month ageing in used French barriques, adding depth, complexity and soft tannins. On the palate, it is compact and concentrated, with a full, velvety mouthfeel and a long, elegant finish in which the influence of the wood is subtly present without being overpowering.
This wine is best enjoyed at a serving temperature of around 17°C and is an excellent companion to rich meat dishes, game or mature cheeses. The 'Ried Gradenthal' Zweigelt BIO is an excellent choice for lovers of powerful but harmonious red wines with depth and organic finesse.
