Champagne Trudon Roséphile is a rosé champagne created especially for lovers of fruity and elegant rosé wines. This cuvée comes from Festigny, in the heart of the Vallée de la Marne, where clay-limestone-rich soils are ideal for the Meunier grape. Roséphile is built entirely around this grape variety and combines traditionally vinified Meunier with around 10% Meunier red wine, giving the champagne its refined rosé colour and aromatic intensity. Around 40% reserve wines thereby add complexity and continuity to the house style.
In the cellar, a vinification that emphasises freshness and fruit is chosen. No malolactic fermentation is used for Roséphile, preserving the wine's natural vibrancy. After the second fermentation in bottle, the champagne matures for at least three years on the lie in the estate's cellars, creating a fine mousse and an elegant structure. A Brut dosage of 7.5 g/l creates a champagne with a perfect balance between fruity expression and fresh tension.
In the glass, Roséphile shows a light salmon pink colour with bright reflections and a fine mousse. The nose opens with aromas of kumquat, orange, raspberry and cherry, followed by floral notes of violets and nuances of red fruits such as strawberry and cassis. On the palate, the champagne is soft, fresh and creamy, with flavours of ripe red fruit and a subtle citrusy freshness of pink grapefruit. The finish is elegant and fruity, with a slight mineral touch that adds finesse to the wine.
