This wine is made from 100% Traminer aromatico, sourced from two small vineyard parcels covering 3,000 square metres and situated at 800 to 850 metres altitude. The combination of altitude, sandy soils and a south-east exposure creates aromatic intensity while maintaining freshness. The grapes are harvested around mid-October, just when their expressive character and ripeness are optimally balanced.
After harvesting, the grapes undergo cold peeling for about 48 hours to enhance aromas and structure. They are then pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Once fermentation is complete, the wine remains on fine lie for about two months, with weekly manual stirring. This ageing on the lees gives the wine extra volume, roundness and depth, without losing its fresh tension.
In the glass, the Traminer aromatico shows an intense yellow colour with a pronounced fruity and aromatic profile and a long, persistent finish. Served at 11 to 12 degrees, it comes into its own perfectly as an aperitif and makes a surprisingly beautiful combination with pĆ¢tĆ©. Thanks to its structure and aromatic strength, this wine also has good ageing potential.
