Product description
Cruet "Vieille Vigne" is an expressive white wine from the sunny south-eastern slopes of Cruet, between Chambéry and Albertville. The vineyards lie on argilo-limestone-rich alpine rubble soils, which provide tension, minerality and fresh fruit aromas. This cuvée comes from selected old vines with an average age of around 50 years, which adds concentration and depth to the wine.
Careful clarification is followed by a long, cool fermentation at 15-17 °C to preserve Jacquère's primary aromas while developing roundness. For this cuvée, malolactic fermentation is fully carried out, followed by ageing sur lie to give extra body and texture. About 20% of the wine is aged in oak, which adds subtle creaminess and spiciness without losing freshness.
In the glass, Cruet "Vieille Vigne" shows bright straw yellow. The nose is dominated by ripe white fruits such as pear and grapefruit, with notes of fresh butter and soft spices in the background. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and slightly creamy, with a fresh backbone and a refined, slightly woody structure. The finish is reminiscent of toasted almond and lingers long and elegantly.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
