Roussette de Savoie "Naturalis" is a pure, unfiltered expression of Cruet's alpine terroir, from sunny slopes between Chambéry and Albertville. The vineyards lie on argilo-limestone-rich alpine rubble soils, which gives the wine its minerality and fresh tension. This cuvée lets the grape speak in its most honest form, with no sulphites added, making terroir and fruit central.
The wine is made from 100% Altesse (Roussette), harvested by hand and pressed by gravity. Careful clarification is followed by a long, cool fermentation at 15-17 °C. Aging on fine lie with regular bâtonnage for six months adds texture and depth. Bottling in January preserves the fresh, aromatic character of the grape. Vinification and bottling take place without the addition of sulphites, resulting in a lively, pure-fruit style.
In the glass, "Naturalis" shows a light golden yellow colour with green and pearly reflections. The nose combines ripe pear and citrus with floral and spicy notes of iris and flint. On the palate, the wine is energetic and mineral, with clean fruit expression and a fresh, long finish. A characterful Roussette with storage potential, developing even more complexity with age.
