Product description
Arbin - Le Coteau d'Albert is a characterful red wine from the steep, sun-drenched slopes of Arbin in Savoie. On these abrupt argilo-limestone-rich soils, the native Mondeuse feels completely at home. The southern exposure ensures optimum ripeness and concentration, while the alpine climate preserves freshness and tension. This interplay gives the wine its distinctive combination of suppleness, spiciness and depth.
The wine is made from 100% Mondeuse, harvested by hand and brought into the tank via gravity. The grapes are partially destemmed to preserve freshness and build structure in fermentation. Depending on the vintage, the wine macerates for 2-3 weeks at controlled temperature to keep the delicate aromas of the alpine terroir intact. Aging takes place in stainless steel tanks, keeping the pure character of the grape central.
In the glass, Arbin - Le Coteau d'Albert shows a deep, purple-red colour with violet hues. The nose is concentrated with aromas of small red berries and spring blossom, complemented by spicy notes. On the palate, the wine is powerful and structured, with present but soft tannins, a full body and a long, fresh finish carried by the natural acidity of Mondeuse.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
