This fresh white cuvée from Lichti & Astroh's white label base segment combines three grape varieties into a harmonious whole: 45% Riesling, 41% Scheurebe and 14% Kerner. The grapes grow on limestone soils in the Palatinate region and are spontaneously fermented in stainless steel. The wine is bottled unfiltered to preserve its lively character.
On the nose, it shows a spicy and slightly vegetal aroma, with aromas of yellow fruits, a hint of dark berries and a subtle touch of bacon and almond. The palate is slim and juicy, with impressions of pickled apricot, mint and fine acidity. A slight grip and chalky undertones give structure and tension, while the finish is fresh and well-balanced.
With 85 points on wein.plus and 84 in the Eichelmann 2025, this is an accessible, well-made food wine. Excellent as an accompaniment to summer salads, light fish dishes or vegetarian cuisine. An ideal entry into the world of Lichti & Astroh - bright, fresh and unaffected.
