Bodega y Viñedos La Zorra is a family-run wine estate in Mogarraz, one of Spain’s most beautiful villages, deep in the Sierra de Francia in Salamanca. The Maíllo family have winemaking in their blood: as early as the late 1970s, father Toñi was pressing the freshly harvested grapes in the old family cellars, whilst his son Agustín grew up surrounded by the scents of the grape harvest, fermentation and distillate that filled the village every autumn. In 2010, Agustín decided to breathe new life into that legacy in exactly the same spot as the ancestral cellar, and so La Zorra was born.
