Product description
Amandum's Chardonnay DOP Friuli Isonzo is a fresh and elegant white wine grown on well-ventilated, dry gravelly plains with reddish clay rich in iron oxide and aluminium. The cooler climate preserves the wine’s brightness and finesse. Made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, harvested in mid-September, the fruit is gently destemmed and lightly crushed. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at 15–18 °C.
After fermentation, the wine rests on the lees in steel tanks for ten months, then further matures in temperature-controlled cellars. In the glass, it shows a bright yellow color with lemon and grassy highlights. The nose reveals tropical fruit notes such as banana and pineapple, enriched by soft smoky tones and white flowers. As the wine opens, citrus and delicate spicy vanilla notes emerge.
On the palate, freshness and a saline edge stand out immediately, aligning with the wine’s vibrant appearance and aromatic profile. The citrus and vanilla notes return elegantly on the finish. This Chardonnay pairs beautifully with fish dishes, particularly the regional specialty “Boreto alla Graisana.” Serve chilled at 12 °C.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
