Sauvignon Blanc DOP Friuli Isonzo is a dry white wine grown on stony gravel plains rich in reddish clay, iron oxide, and aluminium. The vineyard is located in a well-ventilated, dry, and cool site—ideal for preserving the wine's freshness and aromatic expression. Made from 100% Sauvignon grapes, harvested in mid-September, the fruit is gently destemmed and lightly crushed. Fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks (15–18 °C). The wine is then aged for ten months on the lees in steel and further refined in bottle in temperature-controlled cellars.
In the glass, this Sauvignon Blanc shines with brilliant clarity and a youthful lemon-yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose, it begins delicately with vegetal hints and subtle notes of peach and exotic fruit. With aeration and rising temperature, the bouquet deepens into floral aromas (broom and wildflowers), wheat flour, a touch of smoke, and ripe peach and pear. Citrus notes like cedar and bergamot zest complete the elegant and well-balanced aromatic profile.
On the palate, the wine is dry, savoury, and vibrant, with fresh acidity that softens as the wine warms slightly. It displays excellent balance, fine persistence, and great clarity. A perfect choice as an apéritif or paired with firm fish, including baked dishes. Serve at 12 °C.
