Product description
This dry Merlot is a characterful red wine born from a dry, windy plain with stony gravel soil, rich in reddish clay containing iron oxide and aluminium. The terroir plays a key role in shaping the wine’s expressive and structured style. The vines—100% Merlot—are trained using the Guyot system and cultivated with integrated pest management focused on low environmental impact.
Harvest takes place in late September. After careful destemming and gentle crushing, the grapes undergo fermentation in stainless steel tanks for about three weeks, with regular pump-overs to extract color, aroma, and structure from the skins. The wine is then racked and aged for eighteen months before being bottled and left to rest in temperature-controlled rooms to reach perfect balance.
In the glass, this Merlot displays a deep ruby red hue with violet highlights and brilliant clarity. On the nose, it opens with fresh aromas of red fruits like raspberry and cherry, complemented by delicate notes of freshly cut grass and a subtle spiciness of green and white pepper. On the palate, it confirms its fruity character, enhanced by hints of plum and wild cherry (Amolo). The wine is fresh, with well-managed tannins, a solid structure, and a long, pleasant finish. While it pairs beautifully with meat dishes such as beef, poultry, or even horse meat, this Merlot is also versatile enough to accompany an entire meal. Serve slightly aerated at 16–17 °C to fully enjoy its complexity and elegance.
