Ballino is a refined and complex white wine made from 100% Turbiana grapes, from Pozzolengo. The silt- and clayey soil gives the wine its characteristic depth and structure. After careful manual harvesting, the wine matures for four months on fine lie in stainless steel tanks, followed by a maturation of at least 10 months in bottle. This lengthy process contributes to the wine's complexity and rich flavour experience.
In the glass, Ballino has a beautiful golden yellow colour with subtle straw yellow reflections. The aroma is deep and layered, with ripe yellow fruits, followed by exotic notes of mango and pineapple, hints of dried flowers and chestnut honey, and a sophisticated finish of candied citrus fruits. On the palate, the wine is intense and silky smooth, with a full structure and a long, lingering finish. Lively acidity and subtle saltiness give the wine extra tension and sophistication.
Thanks to its rich and harmonious character, Ballino is an excellent choice with rich pasta dishes, white meats and even creamy desserts. The combination of fruity, floral and honeyed notes makes this wine a versatile companion to both savoury and sweet dishes. Served at a temperature of 13-15°C, its full aromatic expression comes into its own.
