Noce is a refined 100% Merlot from Pozzolengo, where the combination of silty and sandy soils creates a wine with deep complexity and elegance. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected before being vinified in cement tanks. After four months of aging on fine lie, the wine is transferred to used oak barriques, where it refines for two years before being bottled. This lengthy ageing process contributes to a wine with exceptional depth and balance.
In the glass, Noce presents itself with an intense ruby colour, enriched with garnet red reflections. The aroma opens with spicy and slightly earthy notes, which soon give way to refined scents of liquorice, forest floor and subtle toasted accents. On the tongue, this wine is soft and persistent, with an impressive alcohol content that supports the wine's full body. Refined tannins provide balanced freshness and a long, elegant finish.
This powerful and harmonious Merlot goes well with rich pasta dishes with full sauces and slow-cooked meats, such as stewed or roasted dishes. It is also surprisingly suitable as a meditation wine, ideal to enjoy quietly with a piece of dark chocolate. Serve at a temperature of 16-18°C to fully unleash its complex aromas and deep flavours.
