Ceregio Rosso is the pure, unfiltered expression of Sangiovese from the hills around Modigliana and Brisighella. The combination of loamy-chalky soils and steep exposition gives this wine its tension and structure. Fermentation in stainless steel with skin softening preserves the freshness of the fruit, while ageing in steel and cement rounds out the wine without losing its energy. The result is a modern, terroir-driven Sangiovese with depth and drinkability.
In the glass, the wine shows lively and transparent, with a fresh attack. On the palate, you taste red cherry fruit, wild berries and spicy accents, carried by lively acidity and refined tannins. The style is elegant and taut, with enough structure to be gourmet but without becoming heavy. A wine that already charms now, but also gains complexity with some bottle aging.
