Product description
Garabei represents the finest expression of Dolcetto produced by the Abrigo family, coming from their oldest vineyard parcel with vines over fifty years old. The diversity of rootstocks and clones contributes to the wine’s innate complexity, making Garabei not only elegant and structured, but also capable of aging gracefully.
Located on sun-drenched south to south-west facing slopes in Diano d’Alba, the vineyard benefits from calcareous marl and alternating sandy layers that give finesse and texture. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel with maceration lasting 9–12 days depending on the vintage. The wine matures in concrete tanks and bottle, maintaining the purity of the grape.
Garabei shows intense aromas of ripe red berries, violets and a hint of spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied, juicy and well-balanced, with smooth tannins and a refreshing finish. Ideal with Piedmontese classics, poultry dishes or mushroom-based pasta. Serve at 16–18 °C.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
