This Nebbiolo d’Alba is a pure and uncompromising expression of elegance. Sourced from several vineyards around Diano d’Alba, the vines grow on sandy-limestone soils known as Arenarie di Diano. The grapes are hand-picked in mid-October, when phenolic ripeness is reached, and fermented in stainless steel tanks with maceration lasting about 10 days, followed by spontaneous malolactic fermentation.
Ageing takes place in 750-litre oak casks and 500-litre tonneaux for about 12 months, prioritizing previously used wood to maintain balance. In the glass, it presents a delicate ruby red hue with garnet highlights. Initially shy on the nose, it evolves over time to reveal scents of wild berries, violets, and rose petals.
On the palate, it offers freshness, soft tannins, and structure, with subtle oak presence. A refined wine that pairs beautifully with braised meat, game, or aged cheese. It offers great ageing potential, enjoyable up to 10 years from bottling. Serve at 18–20°C.
