Langhe Arneis “SàMai” is an elegant white wine made from 100% Arneis, a native grape of Piedmont known for its structure and lively acidity. The name “SàMai” comes from the local dialect and means “you never know” – reflecting both the spontaneity of life and the wine’s subtle surprises. The grapes come from two vineyards with westerly exposure in Diano d’Alba, grown on limestone-rich soils interlaced with sandstone layers.
The grapes are gently pressed as whole clusters, and only the first-run juice is used. Fermentation takes place at low temperatures to preserve the delicate aromas of chamomile and peach. The wine rests on the fine lees without undergoing malolactic fermentation, maintaining freshness and balance.
SàMai is vibrant and floral with good body and persistence. It pairs beautifully with light starters, vegetable dishes, salads with white meat, and soft cheeses. Serve chilled at 10–12°C.
