Fattoria Valacchi is located in the heart of Chianti, the cradle of Tuscan wine culture. Ancient maps from the 12th century, found in the nearby Romanesque church of San Appiano, already mention a property called Valacchi, which held out for centuries against the powerful city of Semifonte. After Florence conquered Semifonte in 1202, Valacchi remained an independent estate where the traditional crops of Tuscany such as vines and olive trees were nurtured and maintained. Centuries of dedication to this fertile land laid the foundations for what is today a family-run business of exceptional quality.
