Product description
The "Bianco da Nero" by Marcel Zanolari comes from the scenic Valtellina region in Sondrio province, from the town of Bianzone. This special white wine is made from Pinot Nero grapes of the Mariafeld clone, giving it a unique character. With 3864 m² and 4500 plants per hectare, it offers a refined taste from this mountain area. The yield of about 450 grams per vine shows careful selection, enhancing its delicate and aromatic qualities.
The process is simple and pure. The grapes are pressed right after harvest and fermented in steel tanks without added yeasts, letting natural fermentation take over. Then it ages for about five months in used barrels (2nd and 3rd passage), adding a subtle depth without losing freshness. A tiny amount of sulfite is added just before bottling, and it stays unfiltered to keep it real. Serve at 10-14 °C and store for 1-3 years; it comes in 75 cl bottles.
The "Bianco da Nero" has a copper-gold color with a salmon-pink hint and a fine aroma. You taste gentle notes of jasmine and forest fruits, making it elegant and fresh. It’s perfect with crustaceans like shrimp or crab, and shines with sushi, complementing the dishes beautifully. Every sip reflects Marcel Zanolari’s pursuit of natural elegance and Valtellina’s unique identity – a treat for fans of subtle, unconventional white wines.
