Rio Maggio's Fizzy Passerina Spumante Brut is a lively sparkling wine that lives up to its name. Made from 100% Passerina, an indigenous grape variety from Le Marche known for its aromatic richness and fresh acidity, Fizzy is the epitome of cheerfulness, elegance and pure drinking pleasure. Harvested by hand in early September to preserve their natural freshness, the grapes are then processed with extreme care to preserve the delicate aromas that make this wine so special.
The wine is fermented at a controlled temperature of 16°C using the white vinification method. Second fermentation takes place in autoclaves according to the Charmat or Martinotti method, with the wine resting on its fine lees for 45 to 50 days, giving it its fine, persistent bubble and elegant mousse. After a short three-month bottle ageing, Fizzy is ready to show its sparkling character. In the glass, it sparkles straw yellow with a lively sheen. The aroma is intense and seductive, with floral notes and aromas of fresh fruit. On the palate, the wine is light, fresh and harmonious, with a natural, thirst-quenching liveliness that invites the next sip.
The Fizzy Passerina Spumante Brut is the ideal choice for summer drinks and festive occasions. It pairs excellently with cold cuts, raw fish, light fish dishes, fresh salads or typical appetisers from Le Marche such as olive all'ascolana. Serve it well chilled, around 8°C, to fully show off its lively character and fine mousse - a vibrant, cheerful wine that makes any occasion sparkle.
