Rio Maggio's Vinum 62 Bianco Marche IGT is a wine that honours the past and brings the soul of the Marche to life. Its name refers to an old vineyard, number 62, where the grapes are picked by hand. This particular wine is made from an equal distribution of Verdicchio and Trebbiano, two grape varieties that together embody the authentic flavour of the region. Vinum 62 is a wine of patience and craftsmanship, shaped by time itself. It reveals the golden tones of the land, meant for those who take the time to really taste.
Long maceration of 10 to 12 days on the skins is followed by a one-year ageing in old concrete vats, a traditional method that gives the wine its unique texture and minerality. It then rests for another year in bottle to further refine its character. The wine is not filtered, and each bottle is individually numbered - a sign of artisanal production. In the glass, the Vinum 62 shows a warm golden yellow colour. On the nose and palate, intense aromas of star anise, candied fruit, exotic fruit and dates emerge. The palate is powerful and full, with a pronounced saltiness and complexity that lingers for a long time.
