The Riesling Tradition 2023 from Alsace perfectly demonstrates why this grape is so beloved worldwide. In the glass, it sparkles with a bright pale yellow colour and silver reflections. The wine exudes freshness and elegance, while its aromatic finesse slowly opens up with refined aromas of white fruit and subtle mineral notes.
The grapes were harvested on 9 October 2023 and then gently pneumatically pressed to preserve the purity of the fruit. During fermentation, the temperature is carefully controlled so that the fresh and aromatic style of the Riesling comes into its own. The wine then matures on the fine lees for about nine months, which gives it extra roundness and structure without losing its typical lively freshness.
The nose reveals aromas of floral notes, white fruit and subtle hints of aniseed, lemon and fennel seed. On the palate, the wine is taut and refreshing with elegant acidity and a light body. The long, pure finish offers refined minerality, making this Riesling an excellent accompaniment to fish dishes and classic Alsatian specialities.
