Product description
Some love stories take a little longer to reach a happy ending, and that’s certainly true of the Missian. But once you get to know it, it feels genuine and vibrant. The Missian is a distinctive, exciting and utterly honest Vernatsch made from vines that are nearly 50 years old, grown on the San Paolo plateau on warm clay soils at an altitude of between 450 and 550 metres.
The grapes are harvested in early October and ferment slowly at a controlled temperature in stainless-steel tanks, followed by ageing on the fine lees. In the glass, the Missian is a clear cherry red with a slight sheen. The aroma is classic and charming: ripe Amarena cherries, strawberries, fragrant violets and a subtle hint of marzipan. On the palate, it is elegant, floral and juicy, with a character typical of South Tyrol.
A perfect accompaniment to pizza, pasta and Speck, as well as other South Tyrolean dishes. Serve at 12–14°C, slightly chilled if desired.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
