Product description
The Johanniter is one of the most interesting grapes in the Weingut Keber Kolling range, and still something of an insider’s tip. It is a disease-resistant variety, resistant to mildew and therefore ideal for organic cultivation, but it also simply produces a delicious wine. In terms of fruit and body, it resembles Riesling, which immediately gives it its own distinctive character.
Vinified in stainless steel at a controlled temperature. In the glass, it is clear and pale yellow. The aroma is reminiscent of a green-tinged Sauvignon Blanc: blackcurrant, green pepper and cut grass, with a subtle minerality from the Nahe soil. On the palate, it is fruity, fresh and has a mild, pleasantly drinkable acidity.
A wine that really comes into its own with fresh dishes. Think of lightly spiced fish dishes, grilled vegetables, fresh vegetable salads or vegetarian dishes with herbs and lemon. It also makes a surprising choice with light Asian dishes, served at room temperature. Serve chilled at 9–11°C.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
