"Manus Plere" Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC is a robust and expressive wine that perfectly reflects the richness of Abruzzo. The grapes, 100% Montepulciano, are harvested by hand in September and October and grow on chalky clay slopes at an altitude of 170 metres, with a favourable south to south-east exposure. After maceration of the skins at controlled temperature, maturation on steel and in bottle follows, allowing the wine to retain its pure and authentic character.
In the glass, the wine presents itself deep ruby red with a tendency towards violet. The bouquet is intense and vinous, with notes of ripe fruit and a hint of spiciness. On the palate, it shows itself full and powerful, with a firm tannic structure and juicy freshness that are elegantly balanced. The result is a wine that is at once powerful and refined, ideal for those who love the classic Montepulciano style.
This Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is an excellent companion to roasted meat dishes, game and mature cheeses. Its full body and juicy spiciness also make it the perfect partner with hearty pasta dishes or stews. Serve at 18-20 °C to let the wine speak in all its glory.
