The Marqués del Hueco Reserva DO Rioja (1x) is a refined, powerful, classic Rioja blend made from 90% Tempranillo, 5% Mazuelo, and 5% Graciano. The combination of limestone, clay, and alluvial soils at an altitude of around 550 metres creates a wine with depth, structure, and refined freshness, making it ideal for extended ageing. In the glass, it displays a bright ruby-red colour with light brick-red reflections. The nose is expressive, with notes of red cherry, forest fruits such as blackcurrant and redcurrant, complemented by fresh menthol-like accents and spicy nuances of white pepper and liquorice. On the palate, it is powerful yet elegant, with silky tannins, lively acidity, and a long, refined finish with subtle hints of coffee and toffee.
The Viticultores de Lapuebla ‘El Propósito’ Tinto (1x) is a refined, expressive red wine from Rioja made from 95% Tempranillo and 5% Viura grapes. This blend provides both structure and finesse. The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation and ageing in French oak barrels. With 7 months of oak ageing, the wine develops complexity without losing its fresh character. In the glass, it shows a bright cherry-red colour with purple reflections. The nose is seductive and layered, with aromas of ripe red fruit such as cherry and strawberry, complemented by subtle plum notes and spicy accents. On the palate, it is powerful and elegant, with ripe, soft tannins, lively acidity, and a long, harmonious finish full of nuance.
The Marqués del Hueco Tempranillo DO Rioja (2x) is a classic, fruit-forward red wine from Rioja made from 100% Tempranillo grapes. These grapes come from vines that are 20 to 30 years old, providing a balance between fruit expression and structure. In the glass, the wine displays a deep garnet-red colour. The nose is complex and elegant, with notes of wild herbs, bay leaf, and balsamic accents, complemented by menthol and spicy nuances such as cinnamon, sandalwood, and nutmeg. On the palate, it is smooth and refined, with fresh tannins, a silky texture, and a long, creamy finish.
The Marqués del Hueco Crianza DO Rioja (2x) is a smooth, ripe red wine from Rioja made from 80% Tempranillo, 10% Mazuelo, and 10% Graciano grapes. This classic Rioja blend comes from vineyards around Navarrete, Fuenmayor, and Lapuebla. The combination of limestone, clay, and alluvial soils at around 450 metres altitude results in a wine with both structure and freshness, with each grape variety playing its role: Tempranillo for fruit and elegance, Mazuelo for colour and acidity, and Graciano for vibrancy. In the glass, it displays a bright, intense ruby-red colour. The nose opens with red fruit such as strawberry and cherry, complemented by caramel notes and spicy hints of pepper and vanilla. On the palate, it is smooth and silky, with ripe tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, pleasant finish.
