Selva is Marchesi Ruffo della Scaletta’s everyday wine, an approachable and easy-drinking white wine deeply rooted in the winemaking traditions of Umbria and Italian dining culture. This wine is born out of a philosophy of enjoying good wine, day in, day out, without pressure or hesitation.
The wine is made from equal parts Trebbiano and Malvasia, two classic local grape varieties which are fermented and aged on fine lees for this wine. This process gives Selva its characteristic immediacy and fresh, approachable nature. The combination of traditional grapes, time-honoured cultivation methods and craftsmanship in the cellar results in a wine that is simple yet elegant. In the glass, Selva displays a delicate straw-yellow colour. The nose is pleasant and fruity, with aromas of fresh fruit and flowers, underpinned by subtle notes of cinnamon. On the palate, the wine is lively and smooth, fresh and very pleasant to drink. It boasts a lovely balance between acidity and texture.
Selva is a wine for any occasion, perfect as an aperitif and with starters, but equally good with first courses, fish dishes and white meats. With its immediate appeal and approachability, this is the perfect house wine.

All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
