Maison D&D's Syrah - Vallée d'Aoste DOC is an elegant and expressive red wine that combines the strength of the Syrah grape with the freshness of the Alpine climate. The vines are grown according to the Guyot system on the sun-drenched slopes of the Valle d'Aosta, where the grapes are harvested by hand in mid-October at the time of optimum ripeness.
After harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed and undergo maceration on the skins with daily remontages at controlled temperature. Some of the wine then matures for several months in French oak tonneaux, adding complexity and finesse. In the glass, it shows a deep ruby red colour. The aroma is spicy and refined, with recognisable notes of dried hay, black pepper and a hint of bay leaf. On the palate, the wine is long, balanced and full-bodied, with a lingering, harmonious finish.
The Syrah - Vallée d'Aoste DOC is an excellent companion to lamb, grilled red meat and aged cheeses. Its spicy elegance and velvety structure make it a wine of character, perfect for those who love depth and refinement in the glass.
