Maison D&D's Torrette Rosso - Vallée d'Aoste DOC is a harmonious and elegant red wine that reflects the true soul of the Valle d'Aosta. This characterful blend of Petit Rouge, Fumin and Cornalin brings together the power of mountain grapes in a refined, balanced composition. The vines are grown according to the Guyot system on steep slopes, and the grapes are carefully harvested by hand in mid-October to preserve their optimal ripeness.
After harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed, followed by maceration on the skins with controlled temperature and daily remontages, which ensures colour, aroma and structure. The wine matures in stainless steel vats, preserving its freshness and natural expression. In the glass, it shows a ruby red colour that tends towards garnet red with age. The bouquet is refined and floral, with notes of wild rose, violets and subtle hints of forest fruits. On the palate, it is dry, elegant and harmonious, with a supple texture and a balanced finish.
The Torrette Rosso - Vallée d'Aoste DOC is a versatile wine that lends itself very well as a companion to the whole meal. It pairs particularly well with semi-mature and mature cheeses, fine meats and rustic Alpine cuisine dishes. Serve lightly at room temperature to make the most of its full-bodied character and subtle floral aromas.
