The Weissburgunder from Weingut Keber Kolling is a dry, delicate white wine made from Pinot Blanc, produced in the family-run estate’s organic vineyards on the Nahe. The same care for the soil and biodiversity that characterises all the estate’s wines is also evident here in a wine that faithfully and expressively reflects the terroir of Sommerloch.
Vinified in stainless steel at a controlled temperature. In the glass, the Weissburgunder is clear and pale yellow. The aroma is delicate and pleasant: ripe stone fruit, a slight nutty note and subtle floral accents. On the palate, it is balanced and full-bodied, with good acidity, a fine texture and a pleasantly dry finish.
A versatile wine that complements many dishes. It pairs well with lightly poached fish, poultry, creamy risottos or fresh soft cheeses. It is also a pleasant choice with light pasta dishes with vegetables or a simple salad with goat’s cheese. Serve at 10–12°C – not too cold, to allow its full aromas to come through.
