Château Jardiney 2020 is a classic, wood-driven Bordeaux from the Graves d'Escoussans, where clay and gravel soils provide structure, ripeness and a recognisable terroir tone. This cuvée combines the juicy roundness of Merlot with the backbone and power of Cabernet Sauvignon, resulting in a balanced, gourmet style with length and elegance.
The blend consists of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot. Cold preferment maceration is followed by a long, temperature-controlled cuvaison, which carefully extracts colour, aroma and tannins. The vinification emphasises structure and balance, while maintaining fruit and freshness.
In the glass, the wine shows a deep ruby colour. The nose is complex with notes of sour cherry and chocolate. On the palate, the wine is harmonious and well-structured, with ripe tannins and an elegant finish that lets the character of the Graves d'Escoussans speak beautifully. A classic Bordeaux with modern finesse.
