Vignes Secrètes' Château Le Clos du Merle is an expression of young energy and classic Bordeaux elegance. Sourced from vineyards on the right bank of Bordeaux, along the Gironde and opposite Margaux, this wine reflects the unique balance between power and refinement. The mild estuary climate ensures optimal ripening and gives the wine its fresh, accessible character.
The wine is made from 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, from clay- and limestone-rich soils. In the cellar, the focus is on fruit and purity: fermentation in concrete tanks, followed by ageing on the lie for 10 to 14 months. This approach emphasises the youthful character of the wine, without sacrificing structure and depth.
In the glass, Le Clos du Merle shows ruby red with purple reflections. The bouquet is fresh and fruity, with notes of red fruit and a slight spiciness. On the palate, the wine is round and supple, with soft tannins and a pleasantly creamy texture. The finish is harmonious and accessible, making this wine perfect for both everyday enjoyment and gastronomic moments.
