Johanninger's Fräulein Scheu Scheurebe 2025 comes from the vineyards around Bad Kreuznach in the Nahe region. Here, the grapes grow on weathered loamy soils with a high calcium content - a terroir perfectly suited to Scheurebe's aromatic expression. The result is a wine that immediately charms with its fresh and lively character.
From vineyard to cellar, gentle treatment of the grapes is key. The juice ferments for several weeks in stainless steel tanks with the grape's natural yeasts. This is followed by aging on fine lie until bottling, which adds balance and finesse without losing the wine's fresh character.
In the glass, the wine opens with expressive aromas of gooseberries and cassis. On the palate, it is lively and tight, with fresh acidity and a subtle residual sweetness that nicely supports the fruit.
