Cantina Sabaini's Garganega Veronese IGT is an elegant white wine from hilly vineyards in the Val d'Illasi, in the province of Verona. At an altitude of 175 metres, the Garganega grapes grow according to the traditional Pergola Veronese system on alluvial soils with a lot of rocky material. Thanks to the mild climate and favourable northeast-south exposure, the grapes develop a refined balance between freshness and aromatic richness. Harvesting takes place in September, entirely by hand, to select only perfectly ripe grapes.
After destemming and crushing, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature between 16 and 18Ā°C. This careful vinification ensures that the natural aromas and lively acidity are optimally preserved. The wine shows a straw yellow colour with a slight green-gold sparkle. The nose reveals delicate floral notes of hawthorn and white flowers, combined with the fresh fruit of peach and pear. On the palate, the Garganega Veronese is refined and harmonious, with a balanced structure and an elegant finish that invites the next sip.
An excellent choice as an aperitif, this wine pairs beautifully with light starters, fresh fish and summer salads. Its fresh, aromatic character also comes into its own perfectly with seafood dishes or a risotto with lemon. Serve the Garganega Veronese IGT well chilled, between 8 and 10Ā°C, for the finest expression of its refined style.
