Weingut Hindler's Blauburger Ried Längen is a rarity from Austria. This traditional grape variety requires a lot of patience and attention, as its thin skin makes the bunches particularly sensitive and therefore only suitable for careful, manual processing. The result is a wine that presents itself with a deep, dark colour and an aromatic profile that is immediately inviting.
In the nose, intense notes of dark fruit stand out, in which mainly blueberries and blackberries predominate, subtly complemented by a hint of chocolate. On the palate, this juicy fruit continues, supported by fine, round tannins that provide a harmonious structure and give the wine an elegant, soft finish. The six-month ageing in large oak barrels lends the Blauburger extra depth and refinement, without overpowering the fresh fruitiness.
This quality wine from the Weinviertel region is made from 100% Blauburger, harvested in late September and carefully processed according to the gravity principle, without the use of pumps. The terroir of loess and sandy soils contributes to the wine's supple texture and fruity expression. With an alcohol content of 13% and a nice balance between acidity and fruit, the Blauburger Ried Längen is an ideal companion to a variety of dishes, but also a pleasure to enjoy on its own.
