La Montina's Franciacorta Millesimato Brut 2020 is a prestigious cuvée, made only in exceptional vintages and sourced from the best vineyards. The blend consists of 70% Chardonnay, which brings elegance and finesse, and 30% Pinot Nero, which provides structure and longevity. After an extremely gentle pressing using both pneumatic presses and the traditional Marmonier Vertical Press, a wine with a characteristic golden colour and a refined, persistent mousse emerges.
The bouquet is complex and seductive, with aromas of yellow fruit and subtle notes of light toast. On the palate, this Millesimato presents itself full and flavourful, with lively acidity and elegant minerality that give the wine its special tension and length. The 20% Chardonnay aged in wood adds depth and nuance, while the long aging of at least 40 months on the yeasts adds complexity and refinement.
With a dosage of 6 grams of sugar per litre and a serving temperature of 8°C, the 2020 Franciacorta Millesimato Brut is an excellent choice with refined, rich dishes.
